NEW SINGLE!!!!! We release a new single 'Circulate' with french super label Kitsuné.
January 14th 2007 There's a video clip of our remix of 'Marble House' by The Knife here. It's at a Manchester nightclub called CLIQUE. January 1st 2007 INTRODUCING PUNK MONKEY! Our remix of The Sounds 'Tony The Beat' is coming out sometime soon. This is the greatest song. It was a big honour for us to be involved with this, we believe it to be very truly great. In this clip, Rex and his friend Punk Monkey are performing an homage to the song. The strobe light is broken and the smoke is a bit strong... Click on the picture to watch...
October 14th 2006 We put some clips of the new e.p Maximize on the MUSIK page. Now we try to find some lunch. July 24th 2006 New single on KOMPAKT - October 30th release We have a new 12" record planned for an October release. It is called 'Maximize' and will come with 2 other new tunes 'Sequencer' and 'Every Day (Could Be Our Last Day)'. 'Maximize' is another tune for jumping, not for chin stroking. 'Sequencer' is an experiment just using our Arp 2600 synth. And 'Every Day...' is kind of an experiment too but with singing. July 23rd 2006 DJ date at Nag Nag Nag - London 9th August We are really excited to be playing at Nag Nag Nag ; it is where we first became inspired to make Rex music. We started to go there a long time ago and then try to find the records we heard. To be asked to play there now is a real taste of honour.
June 27th 2006 NEW TUNE! We made a new tune and we tried it out for the first time this weekend in Macedonia. Here is a movie clip, there was one special guy who seemed to be satisfied, he comes in about 2/3 of the way. Special thanks to this guy! May 25th 2006 We like this, we believe it to be true: May 17th 2006 We continue to work on new music for our album. Today we have been working really hard in our friend's studio to get a good sound on some of the new tunes. We also get ready a remix for Swedish group The Sounds who we love. Our 2 favourite groups are from Sweden. Rex nearly choked on a stick today. We thought he had hiccups but it was a stick. He's ok. April 28th 2006 We made a track Italian Skyline a little while ago, It is meant to be a bit 1985. It might go on our album, it might not. We put it on Myspace for about 24 hours. Soon we saw some reviews that were so bad the first reaction Rex and I had was that it was time to die. It might still go on the album though. Someone said: "terrible track. don't know why kompakt is releasing this piece of shit" Reviews don't come much better :-) April 27th 2006 We, well, I, just got back from Australia, it was totally amazing to be on the other half of a planet and the people I met were crazy excellent. I played synth tunes and hung out with DJ T who is a mega hero. In the clubs they asked a lot of times: 'Where is Rex?' and I explained a lot of times that he could not travel 22 hours in a cargo hold, I then added: "not without at least business class service". Sometimes this joke seemed funny, most times people just looked at me strange and backed away. Anyway, Rex is not good with planes... eeek. In Sydney there were bats in the park, BIG BATS. Back home and Rex is bit moody.
April 23rd 2006 It's our last Australian show tomorrow -Monday 24th April- at Honkytonks in Melbourne. March 10th 2006 Woo, eee! Just putting the finishing touches to our remix of 'Marblehouse' by The Knife. The new album by The Knife 'Silent Shout' is another triumph of synthesizer, melody and words. The Knife are the leaders and if you get one album this year, this is it. (Until we release ours, then you could please get that instead...) March 9th 2006 We are going to Australia in April. Rex has been down recently and we are looking forward to sunshine. March 8th 2006 We just came back from Sweden where we played our live tunes in Stockholm and Malmo. The people were amazing. The crowning moment was the boy who came up after and said 'I must please show you my underwear'. We were not sure what to expect but it turns out his sister had made depictions of Rex . Here it is... Feb 2nd 2006 We just returned from Berlin where we played at Joost Van Bellen's cRaZy travelling party 'Filth' . It was cold but the people were warm. In the club there were pole dancing ladies and yetis. We played 'We Live in Daddy's Car'. Here is a little clip of that: January 15th 2006 We are just putting the finishing touches on our remix for Royksopp's next single 'Beautiful Day Without You' . It has ARP2600 lazers and SH1 arpeggios doing battle with our trusty TB303. Weeeeeee! Hopefully it gets accepted :-) January 6th 2006 Just got back from USA . Chicago was a really cool city, we went up to the top of the Hancock Centre and I drank a beer, Rex had some tortillas and we admired the view. The show was really fun, lots of people didn't know really what we were for, but at the end lots of people came up and said hello. New York was like another world, we had problems on the plane from Chicago to NY with some tranquilisers. I gave Rex the wrong dose and he passed out, not reawakening until stage time. The show was the most fun however. The people had a great attitude, were dressed great and were there only to party party. December 26th 2005 Woo! We are going to America to play 2 shows, the first in Chicago this Friday and the second on New Year's Eve in New York City. P to the A to the A-R-T-Y...
We just finished a 1 hour DJ mix for James Hyman's show 'The Rinse' which is on UK radio station XFM. We don't know when (or if) they will play it but it includes a new Rex tune 'Italian Skyline' and also our favourite synth stuff from this moment.
November 28th 2005 There is a new 12" which contains 'Prototype', 'We Live In Daddy's Car' and a brand new remix of 'Prototype' by our friends M.A.N.D.Y. Also available is a 7" which includes Rex's CASIO remix. Places to find the vinyl and the mp3 downloadings are clicking here. -----------------------------------------------
